Accessorize Your Coffee Making

There’s not much better than a well-brewed cup of coffee. The smell. The flavor. The warm feeling. The boost in energy and mood. Regardless of the time of day, a great cup of coffee can make it just a little better.   coffee accessories   But what goes into making that great cup? We know you need to have some high-quality coffee beans, but is that all? Well, it is a sizable percentage of it, but there are many other aspects to brewing a cup of coffee that can make or break the experience.

Water Filters

Take your water source for instance. Without a great water source, your coffee may not be all that good. Consider installing a water filter where you fill your coffeemaker. There are many kinds you can use from a small piece that fits right on your faucet all the way to a whole house filter. The most common water filters are installed under the sink and come in a range of price points. Taking this small step may make a world of difference in how your coffee tastes.

Coffeemakers

The next tool we should take a look at is the coffeemaker. There are so many different ways to brew coffee these days, your coffee experience may be determined by just how you like your coffee brewed. And depending on the coffee and the coffee drinking event may determine what tool you use. For daily pots of coffee, you can’t go wrong with a good quality drip coffeemaker. These machines are workhorses and tend to be quite reliable and consistent.   For something a little more intimate and with a little flair, French Press coffeemakers are the way to go. Another option is the stovetop coffeemaker or espresso maker.   If you want to try out the newest trend in coffee, the cold brew method may be right up your alley. Coffee made in this way is much milder in flavor and has absolutely zero bitterness. You just have to remember to set it up the night before and make sure you have enough room in your refrigerator. It also takes a little more work, but some people swear by it.

Grinders

Many people purchase their coffee already ground. But those who want the freshest flavor grind their own. Make sure to get a good quality burr grinder. Without spending a whole lot of money, you can have great control over your coffee grind with a decent burr grinder. You can set the grind depending on what type of machine you will be using. Fine ground for drip machines or coarse for French press, it’s entirely up to you.

Airpots

If you will be brewing a large amount of coffee for an event or gathering, make sure you have a way to keep it hot without burning it on the hot plate of your coffeemaker. A good airpot can be a lifesaver. Depending on the size of your airpot, brew up a couple of pots of coffee and pour them into the airpot. This will keep you and your guests in hot coffee most of the day.

Storage

Make sure your freshly roasted CoffeeAM coffee stays fresh with a high-quality storage container. Leaving your bag open, or opening and resealing it, can greatly reduce the flavor of your coffee. And keeping it in the freezer is definitely not the best way to store it. An airtight container is the best way to keep your coffee good and fresh all the way to your last cup.

Miscellaneous

Well, we’ve covered all the basics of a good cup of coffee. But what about making those delicious coffeehouse coffee drinks at home? There are a few tools you can use to make those drinks easily and for pennies on the dollar. Would you like steamed milk in your coffee? Try a milk frother. Just heat the milk and press the plunger a few times to make those lattes. If you prefer cold whipped cream, try a Dessert Whip. The fresh whipped cream gives those coffees (and even hot chocolates) a delicious topping of light, fluffy cream for a decadent dessert drink.   So take your coffee drinking to the next level and truly love your next cup.
