White Tea

Although this White Tea is fairly new to mainstream America, it has been enjoyed in China since the Ming Dynasty. The leaves come from a special varietal of tea bushes and are not processed, but dried and withered in the sun. Since the tea leaves have not been processed and they are still very much in their natural state, they carry more powerful antioxidants than any other tea!

When selecting the fresh and delicate leaves by hand, only special "two leaves and a bud" are selected with the ideal situation being two leaves wrapped around a newly developing shoot. You will find White Teas to have a sweet flavor and silky texture.

To make an exceptional cup of White Tea, start with two teaspoons of loose-leaf tea per 8oz. of fresh water. Bring water to a rolling boil, remove from heat and wait one minute before adding the leaves to steep. Then, steep for 5-8 minutes.
