Peet’s
Peet’s doesn’t have a breakfast coffee on their menu. The closest we could find was their Costa Rica Aurora. This lightly roasted coffee blend is said to be bright and sweet with notes of dark berry juxtaposed with clean citrus.
Caribou
Caribou’s Daybreak is a medium-light roasted coffee said to have a subtle fruity sweetness with a hint of nuttiness and rich caramel on the finish.

Peet’s
The Peet’s House Blend is a dark roast. It yields a cup that has medium flavor with bright notes of sweet citrus.
Caribou
The Caribou House Blend is a medium roast that is rich and complex. Heavy and bold with syrupy flavors and a hint of woodiness and spice, this coffee finishes with a savory note of bittersweet chocolate.
CoffeeAM

French Roast - Make it Bold
A good French Roast makes a bold statement. Ideal for espresso and espresso-based drinks, this dark roast blend needs more than a smoky overtone. It needs flavor.

Full and robust with bold flavor, Starbucks French Roast is about as dark as you can roast it. It is said to have a light body and low acidity along with its intense smokiness.
Peet’s
The French Roast at Peet’s is bittersweet and smoky with slight hints of caramel. Their darkest roast is dubbed coffee-forward, spicy, and complex with a pleasant bite.
Caribou
At Caribou, though they dark roast their French Roast coffee, they claim their version has a twist - they don’t roast it as dark as most coffee roasters do. Smooth and heavy, this French Roast has bittersweet notes of cocoa with fruity acidity and a smoky finish.

At Peet’s, their Major Dickason’s Blend was requested by a customer, one of the first of their loyal customer club members. Dark roasted and smooth, this coffee is full-bodied and complex.
Caribou Coffee
It would seem Caribou Coffee plays mostly in the seasonal realm. The current exclusive blend is their Lakeshore. A light roasted blend that has fresh citrusy notes tending with a silky smoothness.
