Enjoying the Olympics

The 2022 Winter Olympics are underway in Beijing, China. The world's best athletes are competing to bring home the gold for their respective countries. At the time of this writing, the Germany team is in first place with 6 gold medals and 5 silver. Team USA is in 6th place with 5 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze.

This is the first time a Winter Olympics was awarded to the same place a previous Summer Olympics has been. Beijing was home to the 2008 Summer Olympics. Though most of the venues are able to be reused for the Winter sports, the Olympic Village and housing from the previous Olympic games were repurposed for housing for Beijing's citizens. A new Olympic Village and athlete housing had to be built.

The sports our athletes are competing in include ice skating, skiing, bobsledding, and more. You can watch the events on TV or stream them on your preferred device.
